How to manage sell side contracts
Learn how to create and manage a sell side contract as a Supplier selling fuel to a downstream customer.
Table of Contents
Sell-side contracts apply to sales made by the supplier to a downstream purchaser. Please note that buy side contracts and freight contracts are managed separately.
To configure new or manage existing contracts for Supplier fuel purchases, click the Supply Management tile on the Supplier homepage.

Next, select the Contracts tile.

Manage Contracts
The Contracts page is divided into two tabs: Buy Contracts and Sell Contracts. Sell Contracts must be selected to review contracts where you are selling fuel to a downstream customer such as a retail location, construction equipment rental, or marine fueling site.

You may click the plus + icon to expand additional details in the grid, or click an existing Contract Name to review Transactions, Allocation History, and Contract Details for that specific contract.

Tip: Existing contracts are automatically updated by Titan Logistics after lifts are completed. The three (3) primary data points for monitoring a contractual lift are:
- Supplier
- Product
- Lift Points (Terminal)
To edit an existing contract, manually create a delivery, or mark the contract as inactive, click the Contract Name in the grid, then the Contract Details tab. Then, click the Action button at the top right.

Create a New Sell Contract
Tip: You can add a new contract from anywhere in Titan Logistics using the Create shortcut in the page header!

To add a new sell side contract, make sure you are on the Customer Contracts tab and click the + Sell Contract button.

Complete all required fields and click Create.
Pricing Options
How to manage pricing options for a Buy or Sell contract
Pricing can be managed for both buy side and sell side contracts.
Locate Contracts Page
Click the Supply Management tile on the Supplier homepage.

Next, select the Contracts tile.

Use the tab toggle to manage Supplier Contracts (buy-side) or Customer Contracts (sell-side).

Standard Pricing Options
When creating a contract or editing contract details, click Set Pricing to select one of the following options:
- No Pricing: Titan Logistics will not monitor or make decisions regarding the price.
- Market based: This pricing option is based on OPIS / AXISS pricing codes combined with the ability to make percent or $dollar adjustment
- Fixed: This is a fixed value that’s pre-determined.
- Fuel Cost: This is based on fuel cost + an adjustment
- Index: This is an index-based price option where a user can set the roll time, pricing day, snap and differential.
- Index Optionality: This pricing option gives customers the ability to compare between 2 difference indices and select the better of the 2 indices (lower of or higher of) including a capped (max price) or collared (max+min) price assignment.
Based on the selected option, additional options will populate.

Complex Pricing Options
Complex pricing based on multiple indices can be accommodated using the Index Builder.
To locate this, navigate to the Supply Management tab on the Supplier homepage, then click the Index Builder tile.

On this page, you can manage or view prices for an existing index using the icons in the Action column, or click Create New Custom Index.

To create a new custom index, add an Index Symbol (or identifiable name) and description, then select “Search Index” to assign the first index.

Use the filters to search for indices and review Units and Prices. Click the Symbol to select an index, and/or click the Enable Action to activate.

Click Add Index Component to search for and include a second index.

Adjust the weighting of each index based on your unique complex pricing formula, and if needed, change the operator below the index component.

Notice that as you make changes, the formula at the top of the screen will update.
Continue to configure pricing by adding discounts, adjusting pricing day, roll, etc. as needed, then click Save to add the new custom index to the grid.
Now, when you configure a Contract, select Index for the pricing option. To locate and apply your custom index, enter the symbol or name you assigned to it under Symbol Name and click Search.

You may assign multiple load codes, ship-to locations, and contract penalties by clicking the Add buttons.

Tip: When applicable, we strongly recommend configuring Freight Service Routing & Rates prior to setting up sell-side contracts.
If freight is not yet configured, select Manual then click Set Freight to fill out the freight information from scratch.
If freight is configured, select Auto then click Set Freight to select the applicable profile for the contract.

Create Contracts in Bulk
To create multiple sell side contracts at once, click the + Sell Contract button, then click Upload Contracts in Bulk at the top right of the page.

Download the linked template and fill in the required information. Then, select and upload your file.
Note: Incorrectly formatted or incomplete files will not import successfully. You may check the progress of your upload on the Data Push Monitor page under Bulk Upload Status.
