How to Create a Reactive Task

Titan Maintenance facilitates the end-to-end process of reactive and scheduled maintenance requirements where various parties may be responsible for different activities.
Reactive tasks should be created any time a fault or breakdown occurs at a site. The Titan Maintenance (Urgent) platform provides a guided process to ensure that all necessary information is collected during task creation.
Steps to Create a Task
1. Access the “Create Task” Function
- Option 1: From the Task Summary screen, click the Create Task button.
- Option 2: Open the Manage menu and select Create Task.
2. Select Site / Location
If you only have access to one location, that site will be auto-selected and this step will be skipped.
Otherwise, use the Site Search field to select the location where the task is needed. You may search by site name or location.
Tip: The search features use autocomplete to find matching results once you have entered at least three characters.
3. Choose the Repair Matrix
The Reactive Task step provides three options to select the appropriate repair matrix for the task.
- Search Repair Options: Type at least three characters to select the repair matrix from a list of results
- Select Repair Option: Use a series of cascading menus to explore and select the repair matrix.
- Select Asset: Select the asset that requires the task and select the repair matrix from a list specific to that asset.
Selecting a repair matrix using any of these options will automatically progress to step three.
4. Provide Task Details
Complete the required fields in the Details step including a detailed description of the issue and defect source.
When applicable, relevant fields will automatically populate based on previous selections or asset details (ex: contractor may pre-populate if the asset is within warranty.) Your user permissions will determine whether you can edit the auto-populated fields.
Click Create Task to save.
Next Steps
Once submitted, the task will be visible in the task summary page. It will either be automatically dispatched to the supplier or reviewed by a management user, depending on your system’s configuration and your user permissions.
On this screen, you may click one of the following:
- Add Another to create another task

- Task Summary to return to the task summary list
