Issue: Data is not importing/mapping correctly Step 1: Check Facility Profile Step 2: Review Imported Data Step 3: Review Product Mapping Issue: Meter mapping is being overridden Step 1: Check Facility Profile

Some modules, including the Frictionless Fueling: Flow Rates subscription, automatically map meter details when data is imported. Failure to map or rate calculation issues can be caused by inaccurate or incomplete data received via file import, or incorrect setup.

Issue: Data is not importing/mapping correctly

Step 1: Check Facility Profile

The PDI Facility Code in the Facility Profile must be an exact match to the Site_ID in the import file, including leading zeroes when applicable.

Step 2: Review Imported Data

Navigate to the Administrative Console and in the left-side menu, click Data Management and File Import Console. An Import Type called “Meter Transaction” with the import category “Meter Transaction PDI” should be visible in the grid.

Verify data is coming through by clicking on the Import Category, which will open a pop-up that has a record of files received from PDI, the date imported, record count, and Import Status. The Import Status indicates whether data was imported successfully.

To download and review a file, click the file icon in the far-left column.

Tip: If prompted by Microsoft Excel to permit automatic data conversions, click Don't Convert! Converting the data will alter and invalidate Site_ID and other values by stripping leading zeroes.

Step 3: Review Product Mapping

If the fueling positions are partially mapping and missing product details, you may need to manually map “Description” values from the PDI file to Substance/Product Internal Grade Names.

First, download an imported file as described above, and locate the “Description” column.

Tip: Create a pivot table using this column for a clear list of available values.

Next, click List Management and Dropdown List Management in the Admin Console left-side menu to open the Dropdown List Management page.

Select “Substance Product” in the Category dropdown menu, and map the values available in the “Description” column to the applicable products using the Internal Grade Name field.

Tip: Multiple values can be entered for the Internal Grade Name with comma separation and no spaces. Ex: DIESEL,DIESL,Dsl

Issue: Meter mapping is being overridden

Step 1: Check Facility Profile

If the site has two or more POS systems and this is not designated correctly in the Facility Profile, the meter mapping can be overwritten by imported data.

To check this, navigate to the Facility Profile and click the Misc Information tab. Scroll down to the Data Vendor Mapping section and check the PDI Sources Multiple Sources PoS setting.

If it's set to NO, click the pencil edit icon and check the box for PDI Sources Multiple PoS, then click Update to save.
